Session title: Managing Data in Db2: Optimizing Performance
Session abstract: Db2 continues to evolve to be a multi-modal database that can serve a variety of data needs. As such there have been many features that have been introduced over the years to support performance and storage optimization in a cost-effective manner.
This session will highlight a number of these features related to performance to show how Db2 has evolved to support various workloads.
Speaker bio: Steven Tsounis is a Principal on the Learning Content Development Team at IBM. He has over 20 years of experience working with technology solutions. Early in his career, Steven obtained his Master of Science in Information Systems degree from Pace University in New York City.
Prior to joining IBM, Steven worked as a Data Modeler designing Db2 (both mainframe and distributed), SQL Server, and Oracle databases to satisfy requirements for OLTP, OLAP, DSS, MDM, and Data Warehouse systems. He joined IBM in 2006 and worked as a Technical Sales Specialist supporting clients in developing cost-effective solutions to advance their business initiatives for over 15 years. He is now responsible for creating learning content for the IBM Sales Team and Clients.
